Welcome to Career Development Services (CDS)

At CDS we provide a confidential, client focused province-wide service. Our staff of professional Career Counsellors can assess and facilitate your career development needs complemented by our Career Development Practitioners who can assist you in your employment search. Our Career Counsellors and Career Development Practitioners are committed to the code of ethics of their respective professional affiliates.

CDS recognizes and respects the challenges that individuals may face in seeking employment, or returning to the workforce and decide on a career and/or education plan. It is our desire to serve you in a friendly and welcoming environment with assistance provided by all staff.

At CDS we wish to support self-sufficiency so that individuals may have a meaningful career development experience. It is hoped that, in turn, they will feel empowered to repeat this process independently, or with minimal consultation, in their future journey.

Eligibility
Individuals accessing services must be unemployed, working less than 20 hours per week, expecting a lay-off notice or are leaving their job
for medical reasons.
